Dr. Kim Greene-DesLauriers was born and raised in British Columbia. Before entering chiropractic college, Dr. Kim spent 3 years at the University of Victoria (Biology Major) and 1 year at Simon Fraser University (Kinesiology Major). After graduating from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1985, she spent 2 years practicing in Whitby, Ontario before moving back to British Columbia.

Dr. Kim has a diverse athletic background. A previous downhill ski racer, she now spends her leisure time windsurfing, mountain biking, skiing and weightlifting. With a background in athletic therapy, she has volunteered her time at the B.C. Summer Games and the Vancouver International Triathlon. Dr. Kim's professional focus is in the area of family wellness (preventative) health care. She continually upgrades her skills and knowledge by attending numerous seminars each year. She has completed a Masters Certificate Program in Whiplash Injuries.

Dr. Kim practices a number of different chiropractic techniques which include:
Gonstead and Diversified Technique (manual adjusting), Thompson Technique (Drop-Table adjusting), and Torque Release Technique (instrument-based adjusting). Dr. Kim also uses a variety of soft-tissue muscle techniques.

Since 1987, she has worked with her husband establishing a successful practice in White Rock, B.C.

 

Dr. Pierre DesLauriers was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. Growing up in a family of six boys and one girl, one can see why his lifestyle is “active”.

Dr. Pierre graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario, in 1987. Prior to that he spent 3 years at Simon Fraser University studying kinesiology before transferring to the University of British Columbia where he spent 2 years studying sports medicine.

While at U.B.C. he was the starting wide receiver on the U.B.C. Thunderbird football team which won the Canadian University Championship in 1982. That team was recently inducted into the U.B.C. Sports Hall of Fame.

Dr. DesLauriers is also a certified acupuncturist. He got his degree while training and volunteering with the hospital in Columbo, Sri Lanka in 1986. In 1990 he became certified in Whiplash Injuries. In 1996 he became a Certified Extremity Practitioner and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist which allows him to work with professional sports teams. Over the last 5 years he has become certified in two different soft-tissue techniques (i.e. Active Release Technique and Trigenics) that are designed to break down scar tissue and restore proper strength and function to muscle tissue.

Dr. Pierre uses a variety of chiropractic techniques including Torque Release Technique and Koren Specific Technique (both are instrument- based techniques), Gonstead and Diversified Techniques (Manual Adjusting), and Thompson Technique (Drop-Table adjusting). Dr. Pierre is also certified in Cranial Adjusting.

For the past 12 years Dr. DesLauriers has been hired by 5 different companies as a health care trends expert specializing in the field of wellness care. He has lectured extensively all over North America on patient education and health, and over the last 5 years been writing articles on strength training and wellness for a leading chiropractic magazine. He has also been on the editorial advisory committee for Canadian Chiropractor magazine for the last 4 years.

Dr. DesLauriers has been in private practice with his wife, Dr. Kim Greene-DesLauriers since 1987. Together, they run a very successful, family-oriented, wellness practice in White Rock.
