I used to suffer from ankle, hip and knee pain, I was experiencing muscle spasms in my back and I had an ongoing case of acid reflux.
Before starting chiropractic adjustments with Dr. Kim I had been prescribed medication by my medical doctor to treat my acid reflux condition.
During a regular chiropractic treatment with Dr. Kim, my acid reflux came up and she simply readjusted my “sphincter” muscle. WOW! Immediate relief from acid reflux – and so far it has lasted three weeks and counting. I am no longer burping in ‘indigestion’ – this was really amazing because I had never heard of this kind of cure for acid reflux.
I also have not been experiencing any more back spasms! I feel as if I’m back to normal life – up until this point I have had no need for that cane which was always ready for a down turn.

I used to suffer from back pain and pain in my left leg. My family doctor had prescribed me painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs for the discomfort but the medication was causing stomach problems.
Before I tried chiropractic I had tried physiotherapy for about two weeks. The physiotherapy was too painful and the physiotherapist did not want to continue. I had seen my medical doctor and, as I mentioned before, I was given a prescription for an anti-inflammatory and a painkiller. I was scheduled for a CT scan but it was a three month waitlist. My family doctor then suggested that I go to see a chiropractor.
It took about five to six visits with Dr. Kim DesLauriers before I could really feel a difference. After two months of chiropractic adjustments with Dr. Kim I am amazed at the total improvement. Best of all I am NOT taking any more prescription medication for my pain and therefore I am not experiencing any more side effects. I can now walk and climb stairs with only a little discomfort. Sitting in the car for over an hour is no longer an ordeal.I am not completely pain free but the improvement is remarkable.
I have made a determined effort to follow Dr. Kim’s advice and will continue to do so and I am hopeful that I can maintain my progress and perhaps even continue to improve.

Before I started chiropractic care with Dr. Pierre I was experiencing chronic back pain that would continue throughout the entire day. The pain made me feel like I had a major stomach sickness and my spine seemed to be pushing against my stomach.
Before I came to see Dr. Pierre for chiropractic adjustments I had tried diet control and minor stretching and exercising but felt no relief.
Since I began regular chiropractic care with Dr. Pierre I can get up and actually do things! The chiropractic adjustments are keeping a bad vertebrae in the center of my spine and in line. I have increased flexibility and I am pain-free.
The most important thing I have gained since beginning chiropractic care is the realization of how important the health of my spine is to me for my body.

I was experiencing muscular dystrophy, vision and balance issues before getting regular chiropractic adjustments.
Since I began regular chiropractic care, my stress level has been great and I can deal with situations in my life much easier than when I was constantly subluxated. I now wake up in the morning with a lot more energy and peace of mind – not to mention a clearer mind.
My vision has improved and the loss of balance I commonly experienced has drastically been reduced.

My major complaint when I came in to see Dr. Kim was that I was experiencing headaches, neck pain and a lack of mobility.
Before coming to see Dr. Kim I had not tried any other types of treatment to help with my discomfort.
Dr. Kim’s chiropractic adjustments have dramatically increased my energy levels, I am sleeping better and more comfortably, and I am playing hockey and working out without any pain holding me back.

My main complaints when I first came to see Dr. Kim for chiropractic adjustments was that I had low back and mid-back pain. I was also experiencing residual pain in my neck from a car accident I had been involved in 5 years ago.
Before I started getting chiropractic adjustments from Dr. Kim I had been taking a lot of pain medication and doing some stretches at home to loosen up my muscles and reduce the discomfort.
The regular adjustments I have received from Dr. Kim have completely resolved my back pain and even removed the residual pain in my neck that even the surgery I had didn’t fix.
I have been able to start running again and I have started doing Pilates to help hold my adjustment. I am sleeping much better at night as well.

Before seeing Dr. Kim for chiropractic adjustments, I was experiencing pain in my lower back and hips due to my scoliosis.
I had tried a number of different things for my pain before coming in for chiropractic adjustments. I had tried physiotherapy, acupuncture, massage therapy, exercise, Pilates and a medical doctor.
I have benefited from Dr. Kim’s adjustments in a few ways. I am now able to walk with much less pain and I am less cranky than I was before. The most important improvements I have noticed is that I can now do my Pilates properly and I sleep much better at night.
With Dr. Kim’s chiropractic treatments, Dr. Pierre’s wellness classes and my exercise program – I am so-o-o much better. Thanks!

My major complaint when I came in to see Dr. Kim was that I had a stiff neck on the left side and pain when turning head to look over my left shoulder. My neck pain had been present for over one year. It hurt so much I could not get comfortable when trying to sleep.
I had an evaluation by my family doctor and an x-ray taken of my cervical spine. My family doctor suggested it was a shoulder problem and to take Motrin for a few weeks and see if it helps. It did not help. My family doctor then suggested injecting my shoulder with Cortisone. I decided to look for another treatment.
The adjustments I have had over the past three weeks with Dr, Kim have reduced the neck pain making it easy to get a good night sleep. I can look over my shoulder while driving without having to turn my whole back and shoulder. I can get to sleep using my favorite pillow without tossing and turning to find a comfortable position.
In summary I have way less neck pain and I am sleeping well.

At the age of 41 years old, I enjoyed playing ice hockey and working out at various athletic clubs three times a week. In August 2001, I was at the gym doing fly’s on an incline bench with 25 lbs dumb bells in each hand. After a couple of sets, I got up to get some water and I experienced strong electric like shocks running down both my arms into my hands. This feeling could be described as similar to hitting your funny bone and went away after a few hours. That night I went to a local medical clinic and the doctor suspected I strained my upper back or neck muscles.
A few days later, I started noticing slight spasms in my neck when climbing stairs and running or jumping. During the following months, I started experiencing tingling and burning sensations down both my arms and wrists. Since my original injury, I have been battling mild to moderate anxiety attacks, which I’m on medication for at this time. I also started noticing cracking and or grinding sounds when turning my head from side to side. My back and neck tighten up very quickly from stress or temperature changes. Most days my head felt like a 100 lb bowling ball and I had no energy for anything except sleeping. In November of that year, I decided to get x-rays, which indicated a mild to moderate amount of disc degeneration disease in my neck. My condition seemed to be getting worse and during the following spring, I decided to get an MRI done privately. The scan indicated a slight disc bulging and bone spurs from C3 to C6. My family doctor described my condition as basic wear and tear, probably from years of playing hockey and suggested I take up golf instead. My physiotherapist told me that my condition would only get worse, and I would probably require surgery as a temporary fix at best.
The only treatment suggested was to take anti-inflammatory drugs and to use heat and ice when necessary. My brother suggested I try a chiropractor before considering surgery and the long waiting lists in BC. I had seen chiropractors before when I had severe low back problems in the past, but to be perfectly honest, I had a great deal of apprehension regarding neck adjustments and the risk associated with this procedure. However, after a few months of treatment with Dr. Pierre DesLauriers in White Rock, I started feeling better and the burning and tingling sensations have almost completely stopped. I’m doing my stretching exercises daily and yoga twice a week.
Today I am very happy to report that I’m back playing ice hockey and working out in a gym using weights again. I’m looking forward to weaning myself off my anxiety medication and at age 44, life is good to me again!

When I first came for chiropractic care I had been having pain in my lower back and neck due to an accident in 2004. I was also experiencing pain in both of my feet.
Before seeing Dr. Kim and Dr. Pierre I had tried physiotherapy for the amount of time that was covered by my work. It was too time consuming and much more expensive. I felt that the physiotherapy was more like exercising my muscles rather than healing. I had also tried taking Robaxacet but didn’t feel it did anything to help except mask the pain.
I began seeing Dr. Kim for adjustments and listening to her recommendations for vitamins and supplements to aid and help the cellular repair of my body. After a few months I had noticed a lot less pain in my lower back and my stress level greatly reduced. I seem calmer and my neck loosens up much easier.
The best part about coming to Dr. Kim for chiropractic care is that I don’t have to take pills for pain anymore and having more range of movement in my neck has been wonderful!

My main complaint before my first chiropractic visit with Dr. Kim was that I had lack of movement in my back and neck. The pain made it hard to sit, sleep, and stand – which made life difficult.
Dr. Kim was the first Doctor I had come to for the pain and discomfort I was experiencing. By having regular adjustments, I have been able to sleep well all night long and I wake up feeling good and not in pain.
Chiropractic adjustments have made my life a lot more comfortable which allows me to do all my activities that I used to be able to do before like play hockey, golf and swim.
I have not been able to attend any classes but the information I have received from Dr. Kim during my appointments have helped me live my life practically pain free!

I attended the office of DesLauriers Chiropractic Group Inc & Associates because of harsh pain in my left arm, shoulder and neck area and pain in my tailbone. I also was suffering from headaches and sinus pain.
I had tried massage therapy and yoga before coming for chiropractic adjustments.
My adjustments have impacted my life by allowing me to sleep much better. I have increased energy, my allergies have eased up and fewer headaches.
I can now sit at work for a 12 hour shift and I have confidence to exercise now that I do not have tailbone pain or the left arm, neck and shoulder pain.

When I came into see Dr. Kim DesLauriers for chiropractic care I was suffering from shoulder and neck pain caused by a motor vehicle collision and my Rheumatoid Arthritis.
I had tried physiotherapy and massage therapy before trying chiropractic. Massage therapy and physiotherapy treatments just soothed the sore areas temporarily and never got rid of the source of my pain.
Dr. Kim’s chiropractic adjustments have relieved my pain and stiffness. I now have great mobility in my neck and shoulders. My activities like driving (shoulder checking, etc.), skiing, Tai Chi, and hiking are now fun again because of the lack of soreness and stiffness.
