NEW PATIENTS:
Our Chiropractors are not currently accepting WorkSafeBC claims for NEW PATIENTS.

 

CURRENT PATIENTS:
If you are a current patient of Dr. Kim Greene-DesLauriers, she will accept your WorkSafeBC claim as long as your first visit is within 8 weeks of the injury date.
Dr. Pierre DesLauriers is not currently accepting any WorkSafeBC claims.

 

If you have been injured while at work, you may be eligible for coverage through WorkSafeBC. WorkSafeBC will cover the cost of your first two treatments while they review your injury claim and determine claim eligibility.

Once your claim is approved, you will be pre-authorized for 8 weeks of treatment (starting at on the date of your initial visit) at no charge to you.

Injured workers who require treatment past the 8-week mark may be eligible for extenuating circumstances treatments. Your Chiropractor will submit the necessary reports to WorkSafeBC to determine if this additional coverage is approved.

Please note that WorkSafeBC will only cover one treatment modalityat a time without prior approval (i.e., Chiropractic, RMT, Physiotherapy, etc.).

Please note that Doctor referrals are not required to start chiropractic care. This means you can begin care in our office right away if there is a wait to get in to see your Medical Doctor.

Steps to take if you are injured at work:

  1. Report the injury to your employer/supervisor.
  2. Seek medical attention for your injury as soon as possible. Be sure to tell your doctor that your injury is work-related.
  3. Contact WorkSafeBC to report your injury and receive a claim number. Click here to be directed to the WorkSafeBC website.
  4. Contact our office to book your initial appointment. Inform us that the appointment is for a work-related injury. You will be asked to provide us the following information:
    1. First and Last Name (as appears on your BC Health Services Card)
    2. Date of Birth
    3. Personal Health Number
    4. WorkSafeBC Claim Number *If you do not have a claim number, we will proceed with scheduling the appointment but ask you to contact us once you have the claim number*
    5. Date of Injury
